Jagga Jasoos – The new trailer of Ranbir Kapoor and Karina Kaif starer Jagga Jasoos is out. This Hindi comedy-drama film directed by Anurag Basu, the movie is his second project with actor Ranbir Kapoor. From the second trailer, it looks like the duo is all set to recreate the magic of 2012 hit film Barfi! The new trailer of Jagga Jasoos is a musical one. Just like the first trailer, this one also starts with beat-boxing. The reason for this is that the character of Ranbir Kapoor named Jagga is more comfortable doing conversations in a musical tone rather than speaking normally as he has a stammer and faces a lot of problems in completing his sentences. The beginning of this trailer is like the first one except when Ranbir urf Jagga explains the reason for his singing as “Mere words so-so nikalte hai. Isliye gaake bolta hoon. So that thoda smooth ho jaaye.” Other than Ranbir and Katrina, the movie includes Saswata Chatterjee as Professor Bagchi who abandoned his son Jagga during his childhood and leaves him saying that he will come back in “6 months, 7 days and 8 hours” but the wait turns out to be for a never-ending one that becomes the basis for Jagga’s urge to use his brains and solve mysteries using his ‘antenna’ (check out his hairstyle for reference) and Saurabh Shukla as the protector of law. Govinda had also played a cameo in the movie but after he was done with his shooting schedule, there were rumours that his scenes had been cut which turned out to be true.

According to the trailer, one fine a student in his college is found dead, which everyone thought of as a suicide but Jagga smell a rat in the story. According to him, it’s not a suicide but a murder. While he is searching out for the murderer, he bumps into Katrina Kaif. Then starts the series of dangerous adventures, glimpses of which are framed at quick successions which appear like a movie watched in fast-forward mode. There’s running, running and a lot of running in the field, on the roofs of houses and train, a gun battle, scooter rides, plane crashing and a lot of exciting events which are sure to increase your adrenaline. There are very few dialogues in the trailer (and the least comes from Katrina). Now, why they have been running together from the police and who is behind messing up with their lives, the trailer gives no hint about that. The other thing to be noticed is that Jagga’s father, who was declared dead but later on, Jagga finds out that he is alive and the policeman, Saurabh Shukla, seems to be more interested in finding out about his father rather than solving the mystery which again gives rise to a question of WHY? Well, we can only find out the answer to these questions only in theatre after the release of the movie. The jugalbandi between Ranbir and Saurabh reminds us of their Tom and Jerry moments from Barfi. The music is something we are looking forward to. The movie appears an Interesting Cocktail of Comedy, Music, and Thrill.

According to a report on PTI, director Anurag Basu said that even though Govinda filmed his scenes for the film, due to some changes made in the storyline, the actor’s part was edited. At a media interaction, Anurag said, “I’ve shot a couple of days with him in the first schedule. Then there were changes in the story and other things. But Govinda isn’t in the film, his part isn’t there.” There were also rumours that Shahrukh has also played a cameo in the movie which turns out to be a crucial part of the story as it gives further directions to the storyline but there is no official confirmation about this yet. It will be clarified only after once the movie is released.

Jagga Jasoos is Katrina Kaif and Ranbir Kapoor’s third film together. Formerly a couple for six years, they broke-up in 2016. Both have maintained the professionalism and are promoting the movie together.

The trailer has left us with a lot of mysteries that would be resolved once the film releases. Be ready to meet Jagga Jasoos Release Date in theaters 14 July.
